Responsibilities
- Define architecture and technical direction for modern, cloud-native full-stack services across multiple engineering teams.
- Build and modernize customer, branch, and colleague experiences using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, .NET, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Design event-driven architectures, integrations, data layers, infrastructure, observability, resilience, and operational capabilities.
- Lead safe modernization of interconnected legacy environments while protecting reliability, customer experience, and delivery momentum.
- Apply secure-by-design, performance optimization, testing, observability, and operational ownership throughout the software lifecycle.
- Use AI-powered engineering and agentic tools to accelerate discovery, reverse engineering, requirements definition, development, testing, modernization, and delivery.
- Mentor engineers, challenge technical decisions constructively, raise engineering standards, and influence architecture and practices across teams.
Requirements
- Deep Staff-level systems thinking and end-to-end architecture experience across complex customer journeys, platforms, data, dependencies, and technical requirements.
- Strong full-stack engineering breadth, ideally with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and the ability to support legacy technologies when needed.
- Experience designing and delivering cloud-native distributed systems spanning APIs, event-driven architectures, SDKs, data, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, resilience, and integrations.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business and domain problems into technical options and architecture while making pragmatic product-focused trade-offs.
- Experience leading large-scale modernization of interconnected legacy environments.
- Strong integration engineering experience, including complex APIs and capabilities such as authentication, identity, biometrics, NFC, or hardware-to-software integration.
- Experience with secure-by-design engineering, resilience patterns, performance optimization, observability, production operations, and technical leadership.
- Experience with several listed technologies including React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, .NET, C#, Express, Apache Kafka, Oracle PL/SQL, MongoDB, AWS, AWS CDK, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, Specmatic, GitHub, TurboRepo, Roo Code, Cline, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Observe, Prometheus, Grafana, and PagerDuty.
