Base Salary
$170k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and execute system performance benchmarks to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities
- Develop and implement low-level Linux kernel optimizations to improve efficiency and throughput
- Write and maintain high-performance code in Go, C, C++, or Rust
- Tune data-plane performance for high-speed AI cloud workloads
- Troubleshoot complex system issues to support reliability and scalability
- Collaborate with software infrastructure, product, and other engineering teams on performance initiatives
- Document technical knowledge and contribute to engineering best practices
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Linux system internals and kernel-level programming
- Expert-level proficiency in Go, C, and C++; Rust proficiency is an asset
- Proven hands-on experience with performance tuning, benchmarking, and optimization in complex environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience or exposure to the artificial intelligence and cloud ecosystem and standard industry tooling
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex technical concepts clearly
- Rust development experience is preferred
- Experience in high-scale cloud or infrastructure engineering environments is preferred
- Familiarity with performance-critical infrastructure components beyond the kernel layer is preferred
- Experience with low-level performance analysis and tracing tools is preferred
