Base Salary
$191k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-volume, fault-tolerant backend systems for petabyte-scale data processing.
- Improve algorithms for scheduling load on clusters of thousands of machines.
- Enhance systems to provide performance guarantees in a multi-tenant architecture.
- Lead the re-architecting of internal message processing technology.
- Manage exabytes of data using technologies like Kafka, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to identify requirements and architect solutions.
Requirements
- B.S. or higher in Computer Sciences or related discipline; M.S. is a plus.
- 6-8+ years of industry experience with a proven track record of ownership and delivery.
- Experience developing scalable distributed data processing solutions.
- Experience in multi-threaded programming.
- Experience in running large scalable distributed services with microservice architecture.
- Experience with Apache Kafka.
- Hands-on object-oriented programming experience (e.g., Java, Scala).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of performance characteristics of commonly used data structures.
