Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance enterprise software applications and data-driven solutions.
- Build application and data integrations across cloud-based environments.
- Develop database applications and SQL-driven data operations using relational and non-relational databases.
- Implement Python and PySpark scripts, automation routines, and distributed data-processing logic.
- Write maintainable, documented code and participate in code reviews.
- Develop unit and integration tests, debug defects, and resolve performance issues.
- Support Azure-based application development and deployment.
- Use Git and DevOps tools while participating in Agile delivery activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve application performance, automation, and development processes.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in software development or application engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Experience developing applications in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating web services.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Preferred experience includes Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, Docker, data processing or analytics applications, and federal IT or enterprise modernization programs.
