Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support scalable Go backend services and microservices.
- Build and consume RESTful and gRPC APIs for catalog, metadata, entitlement, playback authorization, and device registration.
- Create and configure production and non-production AWS cloud environments using automation tools.
- Integrate applications with AWS compute, storage, database, messaging, streaming, monitoring, and API services.
- Define API contracts, data models, concurrency models, caching strategies, and resiliency patterns.
- Lead feature delivery from design through deployment and production stabilization.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, regression, performance, and race-detection test suites.
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD processes, release activities, deployment validation, and rollback procedures.
- Analyze production incidents, perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot performance issues, and support on-call operations.
- Provide estimates, technical guidance, risk assessments, technical reviews, and developer mentoring.
- Collaborate with architects, product teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional delivery teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience is stated for the project role, with additional information requiring at least 9 years of relevant Go and AWS cloud development experience and 18 years of total experience.
- Strong experience developing production applications with Go and AWS Cloud is required.
- Experience building RESTful and gRPC APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications is required.
- Experience with Go interfaces, structures, slices, maps, goroutines, channels, context propagation, error handling, modules, and Go testing practices is required.
- Experience with Gin, Echo, Chi, or net/http is preferred or required as applicable.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, AWS Fargate, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon S3, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, Amazon EventBridge, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon CloudWatch, and AWS IAM is required.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, infrastructure as code, blue-green deployments, and canary deployments is required.
- Experience troubleshooting distributed applications using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools is required.
- Experience leading production incident management and technical reviews is required.
- Preferred qualifications include OTT, streaming, broadcast, digital media, HLS, DASH, DRM, CDN, SSAI, VOD, AWS Elemental services, Kafka, Terraform, AWS CDK, AWS CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Redis, observability platforms, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, IT service management, managed services, and SLA-driven environments.
- AWS Developer Associate or AWS Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, technical leadership, and mentoring skills are required.
- Minimum 15 years of full-time education is required.
