Responsibilities
- Execute small- to medium-sized projects independently and design and deliver projects with increasing autonomy.
- Write maintainable and robust code using software engineering best practices to solve business problems.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for incident triage, troubleshooting, post-incident analysis, and reliability-risk identification.
- Triage, diagnose, resolve, and analyze incidents with others to address root causes.
- Identify and eliminate operational toil through systems engineering and application-code improvements.
- Implement and improve service-level indicators, objectives monitoring, alerting, observability, performance monitoring, and capacity management.
- Apply reuse-first improvements and pursue measurable SLO outcomes.
Requirements
- At least two years of applied experience with software engineering concepts through formal training or certification.
- Understanding of Copilot, AI tools, and AI concepts.
- Ability to code proficiently in at least one programming language, such as Python or Java.
- Experience maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and using modern cloud technologies such as AWS and Gaia.
- Expertise with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Splunk, and Geneos, and technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, and MQ.
- Expertise with at least one relational database, such as SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex, mission-critical problems.
- Proficiency with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices and comfort working in an Agile environment.
- Preferred experience with Linux or Windows, programming-language or cloud certifications, Site Reliability Engineering concepts, and financial-services domains such as custody, securities, trading, payments, SWIFT, and corporate actions.
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
