Base Salary

$160k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own technical scoping and feasibility for pre-sales opportunities and partner integrations.
  • Build working integrations with third-party APIs, CRMs, field service management platforms, telephony systems, and partner ecosystems.
  • Create reusable demo environments, sandbox tooling, fixture data, scripts, and reference implementations.
  • Configure and tune Avoca’s conversational AI, including prompt engineering for customer workflows.
  • Act as the technical counterpart to Account Executives and Partnerships in discussions with prospect and partner engineering teams.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during evaluations, pilots, and proofs of concept.
  • Feed recurring integration gaps and field learnings to Product and Engineering and keep demo environments current.
  • Own pre-sales builds and demo layers, handing hardened production deployments to Forward Deployed Engineering and Implementation.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Forward Deployed or Deployment Engineering, Implementation or Integration Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or software engineering with meaningful customer exposure.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript and hands-on experience with Next.js, React, and Node/Fastify.
  • Ability to independently build production-grade integrations or demo tools rather than only specifying them.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs and enterprise systems using REST, JSON, authentication/OAuth, and webhooks.
  • Working SQL knowledge and a solid understanding of relational data modeling and transformation.
  • Experience owning technical work end-to-end from requirements through build, testing, and rollout.
  • Strong technical judgment, troubleshooting ability, and communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Product mindset toward internal demo and sandbox tooling.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered products, conversational AI platforms, or data-driven systems.
  • Preferred experience includes prompt engineering, call center or communications platforms, CRM or FSM integrations, and Partnerships or channel support.
