Base Salary

$117k - $222k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate engineering teams delivering scalable full-stack solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Own the architecture, design, and delivery of end-to-end software solutions for digital health and connected-device platforms.
  • Define cloud-native architectures using AWS, Azure, and microservices frameworks.
  • Drive cloud migration, API-first design, and modernization toward microservices-based architectures.
  • Establish technical standards, best practices, and scalable design patterns across development teams.
  • Develop and oversee complex applications and APIs using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Java Spring Boot.
  • Partner with DevOps and data engineering teams on CI/CD pipelines, analytics, and AI-driven capabilities.
  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, HIPAA, GDPR, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with product management, UX, and quality teams to deliver user-centered software.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across planning, estimation, and the full software development life cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of software development experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a principal, architect, or technical leadership role.
  • Deep full-stack development expertise using Node.js and/or Java, with strong back-end architecture experience.
  • Experience building scalable microservices and distributed systems in AWS and/or Azure environments.
  • Proficiency with SQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of security, performance, and accessibility best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Proven technical leadership and ability to influence across teams.
  • Preferred experience in medical-device, digital-health, or other regulated environments.
  • Preferred experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka or Event Hub.
  • Preferred familiarity with logging, metrics, tracing, performance optimization, application security, AI/ML technologies, and data-driven application development.
  • Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, communication, independent-working, and solution-design abilities.
