Responsibilities
- Respond to live fraud and abuse incidents, investigate high-risk activity, neutralize attacks, and mitigate security risks.
- Investigate and remediate urgent fraud incidents such as account takeovers and card testing using FT3 detection and signal enrichment.
- Analyze high-risk accounts and classify fraudulent activity, card testing, account takeovers, and other fraud vectors using FT3.
- Develop, document, and execute incident response strategies, runbooks, automated workflows, and detection and prevention capabilities.
- Work directly with impacted merchants and customers to investigate root causes, remediate vulnerabilities, and secure accounts.
- Act as a technical liaison for legal teams, policy partners, threat intelligence communities, peer groups, and law enforcement agencies.
- Build strategic relationships across external threat intelligence communities and law enforcement agencies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience leading security or fraud incident response.
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Expert knowledge of Python and SQL, with familiarity with other programming languages.
- Experience with log analysis, network security, digital forensics, and incident response investigations.
- Ability to build automated response workflows, leverage threat intelligence, and make risk mitigation recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience driving cross-functional alignment with minimal oversight.
- Previous work with law enforcement and engagement in threat intelligence sharing communities.
- Preferred: expertise in fraud and abuse mitigation, risk management, product trust, and threat intelligence in complex platform environments.
- Preferred: experience with Databricks, Trino, PySpark, Pandas, or Sci-kit Learn, and experience hunting sophisticated threat actors in enterprise environments.
- Preferred: participation in external conferences or similar industry engagements.
