Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based data integration and automation solutions.
- Develop and support ETL, batch-processing, and file-based workflows.
- Build reusable tools and utilities for data processing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Automate validation of inbound and outbound data feeds.
- Develop end-to-end automation across file ingestion, backend processing, database results, and downstream outputs.
- Develop SQL-based data validation and reconciliation.
- Work with REST APIs and system integrations in end-to-end processing workflows.
- Integrate automated processing and validation into CI/CD workflows.
- Troubleshoot issues across application code, data, files, databases, APIs, and processing environments.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, and engineering delivery.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, DevOps, and other engineers to translate business and integration requirements into reliable software solutions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development or software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on development experience with Python.
- Experience with ETL, batch processing, data integration, or data-intensive applications.
- Good SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with structured data files, data transformations, or file-based integrations.
- Experience with Git and modern software-development practices.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within an agile engineering team.
- Preferred: experience with AWS services such as S3, Step Functions, Lambda, Glue, or CloudWatch.
- Preferred: experience with REST APIs and distributed application integrations.
- Preferred: experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or TeamCity.
- Preferred: experience developing automated data-validation or reconciliation solutions.
- Preferred: experience with financial-services data feeds or transaction-processing systems.
- Preferred: familiarity with C#/.NET applications.
