Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and code core RegSys, RegTech, and Saskatchewan Registries products using maintainable and scalable solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to developers within Technical Solutions.
- Identify impacts of code changes on products, employees, and customers using deep product and business knowledge.
- Manage multiple projects and lead the software development cycle from design through release.
- Develop and continuously improve development standards, methodologies, and project reporting practices.
- Manage and lead the release process and conduct detailed code reviews.
- Create staff training initiatives and monitor training attendance and performance.
- Manage the Dublin developer hiring process, including resume and code-test review, screening, interview selection, panel establishment, and final recruitment.
- Advise developers on coding practices and RegSys product feature implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of software development or software engineering experience.
- Proven software development management experience and the ability to lead the development cycle multiple times.
- Expertise in one or more core code bases, including C#, .NET frameworks, or Angular.
- Proficiency with database administration or related technologies including SQL scripting for MS SQL, Git, CSS, Less, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated ability to design solutions and assume major design or analysis responsibility.
- Experience applying Agile development methodologies, specifically Scrum and Kanban, and successfully leading software development cycles from start to finish.
- Strong leadership, people-management, analytical, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to build initiatives supporting employee learning and development.
