Responsibilities
- Build and scale foundational infrastructure and tools for storing, querying, and analyzing petabyte-scale data.
- Develop scalable web applications with a primary focus on backend systems while delivering features end to end, including front-end experiences.
- Build automated data pipelines, asynchronous processing systems, and ETL applications.
- Drive architectural decisions and contribute to technical strategy.
- Deliver software handling high volumes of data and traffic across internal and external customer use cases.
Requirements
- 6+ years of full-stack development experience focused on scalable web applications.
- Experience building automated data pipelines, asynchronous processing, or ETL applications using tools such as Kafka, Airflow, Sidekiq, SQS, and RabbitMQ.
- A track record of technical leadership, architectural decision-making, and contribution to technical strategy.
- Strong understanding of software design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Strong communication and organizational skills and experience working in an agile team environment.
- Preferred experience with Ruby on Rails, Python, React, Snowflake, microservice architecture, distributed systems, modern data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics.
- Professional experience building software at scale and handling high volumes of data and traffic is preferred.
