Responsibilities
- Define and build the integration framework for AI-enabled applications and internal tools.
- Design and implement reusable APIs and integration patterns that are scalable and secure.
- Collaborate with AI Engineers on high-impact projects to select production-ready integration patterns.
- Make technical decisions regarding integrations that access protected production boundaries.
- Establish platform safeguards for production systems, including authentication and observability.
- Create documentation and developer experiences to facilitate secure integration adoption.
- Partner with service-owning teams to ensure clear ownership and operational expectations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with production applications at scale.
- Deep experience in designing developer-facing APIs and distributed systems.
- Strong application engineering judgment with a track record of translating needs into software.
- Experience with cloud services and event-driven systems, including Go and Kafka.
- Understanding of operational safety, authentication, and observability in production applications.
- Collaborative approach to technical leadership with a focus on production readiness.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools and validating resulting systems.
