Base Salary
$170k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define priorities, suggest effective solutions, and implement projects across a large codebase.
- Lead project teams, provide direction, establish key milestones, and keep stakeholders informed.
- Work self-directedly to organize and prioritize engineering work from project start through completion.
- Help embed high standards of speed and quality across the engineering team.
- Build Neon’s healthcare automation platform for pharma and healthcare enterprise customers.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, and Python.
- Understanding of system design, including distributed systems and reliability/performance tradeoffs.
- Experience designing, implementing, and documenting APIs.
- Experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude.
- Strong documentation, testing, and Git version-control habits.
- Four to seven years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading engineering projects from start to finish and working across many areas of a large codebase.
- Broad generalist software engineering experience; distributed architectures and Kubernetes experience are nice to have.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
