Base Salary
$265k - $332k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build LLM-powered systems that review clinical documentation and provide real-time provider feedback.
- Design ML and LLM systems to detect inappropriate billing, over-utilization, and low-quality care across healthcare claims and appointments.
- Build systems that measure clinical quality and identify safety risks in clinical notes.
- Develop ML systems that assess patient needs and match patients with suitable providers.
- Create evaluation frameworks, optimization loops, and observability for reliable and safe AI systems in a regulated healthcare environment.
- Set architectural direction and technical standards for the Payers & Outcomes engineering group.
- Mentor engineers, lead design discussions, improve engineering velocity, and establish maintainable engineering patterns.
- Build end-to-end product experiences across backend services, APIs, frontend state management, and provider-facing workflows.
Requirements
- Experience building and shipping software across backend and frontend product surfaces.
- Experience turning ambiguous problems into shipped solutions and making technical decisions for maintainability and scale.
- Ability to mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, and establish engineering standards.
- Experience experimenting with LLMs in real workflows such as code generation, operational automation, or developer tooling.
- Ability to learn complex healthcare, payer, regulatory, and clinical domains quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in applying AI and software engineering to mental healthcare and other high-impact problems.
