Responsibilities

  • Ensure the quality of product features and enhancements by understanding requirements and identifying gaps or inconsistencies.
  • Create test strategies, test plans, and test cases for functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, smoke, sanity, performance, security, accessibility, compatibility, and reliability testing.
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases using Java, TypeScript, Selenium, and Playwright.
  • Increase automation coverage and integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Validate REST APIs, databases, and service integrations, and perform cross-browser and web application testing.
  • Log, track, verify, and help resolve defects in collaboration with developers.
  • Set up and maintain test environments and test data.
  • Use AI-powered tools and techniques for test design, automation, defect analysis, and quality insights.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Maintain application knowledge, mentor junior team members, and recommend quality and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in software testing and QA automation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle and Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright and strong programming skills in Java and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks and understanding object-oriented programming concepts and design principles.
  • Experience with API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience with web application, cross-browser, database testing, and SQL queries.
  • Strong validation, troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Git and knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and release processes.
  • Cloud platform exposure, including Azure, AWS, or GCP, is a plus.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and modern quality engineering practices is highly desirable.
