Base Salary
$185k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own agent systems end-to-end for identity, fraud, risk, and commerce workflows.
- Build reliable, steerable, multi-step agent workflows that plan, execute, observe outcomes, and iteratively improve.
- Implement tool-use and human-in-the-loop patterns for regulated, high-stakes decisions.
- Own evaluation harnesses and observability for shipped systems, beyond the happy path.
- Troubleshoot non-deterministic failures across models, tools, orchestration, and infrastructure.
- Work within a globally regulated, compliance-heavy domain with emphasis on auditability, correctness, and human oversight.
- Set and communicate technical vision and create explicit specifications for teammates and agents.
- Use AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and support continuous improvement.
- Orchestrate AI agents in daily engineering work while verifying outputs and maintaining accountability.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated impact on production systems.
- Fluency using AI agents in an engineering workflow, including maintaining a mental model, verifying outputs, and remaining accountable.
- Demonstrated ability to own features end-to-end and communicate trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience defining and solving challenging, novel, or ambiguous problems.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG, tool use, and at least one agent framework such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar.
- Experience with evaluation frameworks for agent behavior.
- Preferred experience in financial services, identity, fraud, risk, AML, fraud rules engines, identity graphs, risk scoring, or other compliance-heavy environments.
- Preferred experience with multi-agent orchestration patterns and production-grade evaluation harnesses.
- Preferred experience with AI observability tooling and MLOps practices such as experiment tracking, model registries, and feature stores.
- Preferred experience with vector databases, knowledge graphs, or structured retrieval for agent memory.
