Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Embed with provider and payer teams to redesign clinical, administrative, claims, and operational workflows around AI.
- Scope AI programs by defining problems, intended outcomes, success criteria, and automation or augmentation opportunities.
- Lead technical architecture for AI programs and communicate designs through written documentation and diagrams.
- Design safe, compliant, clinically sound solutions with human oversight, transparency, and PHI safeguards.
- Build and deploy agentic AI solutions using agents, orchestration, context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and workflows.
- Define healthcare interoperability approaches connecting broader ecosystems with electronic health records and payer platforms.
- Distill engagement learnings into reusable methods and accelerators.
- Own end-to-end production delivery, including infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and debugging in client-embedded environments.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on engineering experience with cloud-native systems, APIs, microservices, containerization, serverless systems, and AI platforms.
- At least 3 years of hands-on coding experience in a general-purpose language such as Python or Java.
- At least 3 years of hands-on production deployment experience covering CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and debugging.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and deploying agentic solutions in production.
- At least 1 year of experience delivering AI or technology programs inside payer organizations.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience using Claude or an equivalent frontier AI tool.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent qualifying work experience.
- Direct experience with QNXT, Facets, HealthEdge, or comparable payer platforms; SQL, relational modeling, data quality, and data lineage.
- Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and EDI, including X12 transaction flows, FHIR APIs, and related exchange systems.
- Deep understanding of payer workflows, including eligibility, enrollment, claims adjudication, prior authorization, utilization management, provider networks, reimbursement, appeals, grievances, risk, quality programs, HIPAA, and CMS requirements.
- Knowledge of AI solution architecture, AI program scoping, web and API fundamentals, relational and NoSQL databases, LLM application development, security, and system tradeoffs.
- Strong written and presentation skills, comfort working forward-deployed with health plans, and tolerance for ambiguity in high-stakes IT environments.
