Applied AI Engineer, Federal - Top Secret Clearance
Snorkel AIResponsibilities
- Partner with customers to scope, design, develop, and deploy generative AI and machine learning solutions.
- Build RAG systems, fine-tuning pipelines, prompt-engineering recipes, and agentic workflows.
- Create augmented datasets and evaluation workflows to improve model reliability, transparency, and stakeholder trust.
- Manage relationships with customer leadership and stakeholders throughout AI project delivery.
- Collaborate with Solutions and Product teams to map customer needs to capabilities and identify roadmap gaps.
- Standardize customer solutions into reusable internal recipes, tooling, workflows, and best practices.
- Lead stakeholder education and enablement workshops for technical and executive audiences.
- Provide customer feedback and insight on emerging AI paradigms, data-science workflows, and product direction.
- Work on complex National Security problems.
- Travel up to 25% annually.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics, or comparable degree/experience.
- At least 3 years of customer-facing experience designing and implementing AI or machine learning solutions.
- Proficiency in Python and software engineering fundamentals including modular design, testing, profiling, packaging, typed data modeling, and service development.
- Experience with applied AI technologies spanning classical machine learning, deep learning, foundation models, vector and embedding tools, data processing, retrieval, synthetic data, evaluation, and LLM orchestration.
- Experience leading strategic customer-facing initiatives and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver successful ML outcomes.
- Strong presentation and enablement skills for technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to balance priorities across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred experience reviewing and drafting federal RFCs, RFIs, and RFPs.
- Preferred experience across Civilian, DOD, and national-security agencies, including federal law enforcement, healthcare, financial or regulatory, and military operations and logistics.
- Active TS (Top Secret) clearance required.
