Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software solutions using C, C++, and Linux.
- Own embedded systems through the complete software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to software architecture, requirements, product architectures, releases, and lifecycle activities.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and distributed internal and external teams on system requirements and specifications.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex software, hardware, and embedded-system integration issues.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Document software designs, specifications, and project-related materials.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote software development best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of total professional software engineering experience.
- Proven experience with embedded systems and ownership of the complete SDLC.
- Strong knowledge of CAN, CANopen, Wi-Fi, and MQTT systems.
- Software development experience in C and C++, including data structures.
- Experience using Eclipse IDE or VS Code for software development in Linux.
- Knowledge of device certificate management.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, analysis, and debugging skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronics and communication, embedded systems, electrical/electronics engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience in the medical domain.
- Preferred: understanding of embedded-system HAL, memory management, BSP drivers, and Linux IPCs.
