Base Salary
$150k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support pre-RFP capture through solution whiteboarding, customer meetings, and concept development.
- Partner with capture managers, architects, designers, product partners, and engineers to develop technical approaches, narratives, and visuals.
- Support capture, proposal, and pricing efforts throughout the qualification and response submission cycle.
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of software solutions from prototypes through production systems.
- Analyze RFPs, PWS/SOWs, and Section L/M criteria to create compliant and responsive technical solutions.
- Write and contribute to technical volumes covering architecture, DevSecOps, data strategy, and AI/ML approaches.
- Align solutions with federal IT standards including NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, FISMA, and Section 508.
- Build and maintain reusable products, solution patterns, technical approaches, and past-performance mappings.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and help establish engineering practices within Oddball Labs.
- Stay current on federal digital services trends, AI/ML regulation, and government contracting dynamics.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in IT or software engineering, including at least 3 years in a solutions architect or technical lead role supporting federal proposals.
- Proven track record developing winning technical solutions for government clients.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methods, DevSecOps principles, and the AI/ML model lifecycle.
- Familiarity with FAR, IDIQ/BPA structures, and federal evaluation criteria.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for translating complex technical ideas into compelling proposal language.
- Strong general software engineering experience across different technology stacks.
- Experience designing and building modern applications, services, or platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Authorization to work in the United States; certain roles may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or security clearance.
