Responsibilities
- Build and maintain cross-platform software for Windows and Linux using C++, Qt, and native platform implementations.
- Implement network device discovery, device and interface data collection, network monitoring, and device-management workflows.
- Develop concurrent, asynchronous, and performance-sensitive software that communicates with thousands of devices.
- Work with SNMP, SSH, ICMP, WMI, and other network and system-management protocols.
- Optimize resource usage and reliability across large numbers of concurrent network operations.
- Design and implement unit, integration, and system-level tests.
- Collaborate with backend, UI, QA, and product teams to define requirements and technical solutions.
- Investigate issues spanning application, operating-system, network, vendor, and device-specific behavior.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of C++ development experience, including proficiency with C++14 or newer.
- Strong modern C++ skills and experience writing production-quality systems software.
- Proficiency with Qt and CMake.
- Experience developing for Windows, Linux/POSIX, and cross-platform environments.
- Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with network programming and network protocols; SNMP knowledge is particularly valuable.
- Experience debugging and diagnosing issues across application, operating-system, and network layers.
- Ability to develop comprehensive test cases and plans covering functional requirements.
- Experience working with complex, highly critical systems and cross-functional technical requirements.
