Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Support delivery across AWS programs, including staffing, schedules, risks, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Define the AWS practice operating model through reference architectures, delivery playbooks, and reusable Terraform-based accelerators.
- Serve as the senior technical authority across AWS compute, networking, storage, data, security, identity, observability, serverless, and container platforms.
- Set infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, CI/CD, GitOps, artifact-signing, security-scanning, drift-detection, and automated hardening standards.
- Automate NIST SP 800-53 evidence and integrate Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, and CloudTrail for continuous monitoring and authorization.
- Design and review AWS GovCloud and commercial-region architectures for FISMA, FedRAMP, Zero Trust, and AWS Well-Architected requirements.
- Drive operational automation, including self-healing infrastructure, patching, runbooks, cost optimization, and AI-assisted operations.
- Architect and deliver regulated AI workloads on AWS and establish secure standards for AI coding assistants and agentic tools.
- Mentor AWS architects, cloud engineers, and DevSecOps engineers while building certification and skills-development programs.
- Own the technical aspects of the AWS Partner Network relationship, including competencies, designations, validations, certifications, MAP, POC funding, credits, and co-sell registrations.
- Serve as solution architect for AWS pursuits by developing architectures, staffing models, transition approaches, bases of estimate, technical volumes, RFI responses, and oral presentations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering or architecture, including 6+ years focused on AWS in DevSecOps or platform engineering roles.
- Expert-level Terraform experience covering module design, state management at scale, testing, and policy-as-code enforcement.
- Hands-on experience building and operating secure CI/CD pipelines for federal systems using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Deep AWS security expertise including IAM, Organizations, SCPs, KMS, network segmentation, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and logging architecture.
- Demonstrated compliance-as-code experience automating NIST SP 800-53 evidence, STIG or CIS hardening, and continuous monitoring for FISMA or FedRAMP authorizations.
- Practical experience delivering AI or ML capabilities on AWS or applying AI tooling to engineering and operations in regulated environments.
- 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring cloud engineering teams.
- Deep, current, hands-on AWS expertise across core services, including AWS GovCloud (US).
- Active AWS Professional-level certification required, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional; both are preferred.
- An active AI certification is required, including AWS Certified AI Practitioner, AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer - Associate, and/or an Anthropic Claude certification.
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty and HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate are strongly preferred.
- Experience contributing to federal proposals as a technical solution architect or technical volume author and working directly with AWS partner and account teams.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Preferred experience includes federal civilian agency delivery, AWS Partner Network advancement, multi-cloud work with Azure Government, agentic AI frameworks, MCP-based tooling, Kubernetes, EKS, and container security.
