Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable generative AI services that integrate with many applications and thousands of tenants in production.
- Automate capacity planning, configuration management, performance tuning, monitoring, and root cause analysis.
- Participate in periodic on-call rotations and support critical production issues.
- Partner with product managers, application architects, data scientists, and deep learning researchers to understand requirements, design prototypes, and bring technologies to production.
Requirements
- 4+ years of industry experience in ML engineering and building AI systems or services.
- Experience designing and building distributed microservices on AWS, GCP, or other public cloud platforms.
- Experience with containerized deployment technologies including Kubernetes and Spinnaker.
- Proven ability to implement, operate, and deliver results through innovation at large scale.
- Experience with distributed scalable systems and data storage, messaging, and processing frameworks such as Kafka, Spark, Docker, and Hadoop.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, ownership, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Preferred: understanding of MLOps and ML infrastructure workflows and components.
- Preferred: experience building and applying machine learning models for business applications.
- Preferred: working or academic knowledge of SageMaker, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Triton, Spark, or equivalent large-scale distributed machine learning technologies.
