Software Engineering & Development, Charles River Development, Assistant Vice President
State StreetResponsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and implement small to medium software enhancements, applications, and projects.
- Enhance and maintain one or more Charles River Investment Management Solution modules or components for investment accounting.
- Develop primarily in Java and write unit and automation tests to support high-quality software.
- Conduct manual testing and participate in code reviews.
- Provide engineering troubleshooting assistance to customer support and other development teams.
- Participate in scrum activities including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another technical field is required; a master’s degree is desirable.
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience is required.
- Demonstrated skills with object-oriented programming, data structures, compiler or interpreter technologies, embedded systems, operating systems, relational databases, scripting, and new or advanced programming languages.
- Ability to work on small to medium-sized projects with moderate supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with peers.
- Experience with Agile development methodology is desired.
