Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Partner with customers to discover requirements and translate them into cloud architectures and engineering plans.
- Design and implement custom AWS and Azure solutions for application, data, scientific, and research workloads.
- Engineer end-to-end solutions spanning compute, storage, databases, networking, identity and access management, security, monitoring, backup and recovery, and application architecture.
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules, configurations, scripts, and automation for provisioning and management.
- Design and integrate deployment, infrastructure delivery, security scanning, testing, monitoring, and lifecycle-management capabilities.
- Evaluate technical alternatives, dependencies, security risks, operational impacts, scalability, maintainability, and long-term consequences.
- Own assigned solutions from requirements gathering and architecture through implementation, troubleshooting, documentation, and transition to operations.
- Collaborate with Cloud DevOps, security, infrastructure, application, and engineering teams in an Agile sprint-based environment.
Requirements
- BS/BA and 8+ years of relevant IT experience, or equivalent experience.
- Strong hands-on AWS and Azure experience across compute, storage, databases, networking, identity, security, monitoring, and related cloud services.
- Experience designing and implementing cloud solutions for applications and data, including availability, scalability, resiliency, security, and lifecycle considerations.
- Strong Terraform Infrastructure as Code experience, including custom modules, reusable modules, and shared Git-based repositories.
- Experience with cloud networking, identity and access management, security, automated deployment, testing, security scanning, monitoring, and DevOps practices.
- Experience independently owning technical solutions from requirements through implementation and operational transition.
- Strong consulting, communication, analytical, customer engagement, architecture, and technical tradeoff evaluation skills.
- Preferred experience with scientific, research, healthcare, data-intensive, containerized, cloud-native, modernized, or migrated applications.
- Preferred experience with REDCap, Posit, Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, AWS, Microsoft Azure, DevOps, or architecture certifications.
- Federal government, healthcare, life sciences, or similarly regulated-environment experience is preferred.
- US citizenship is not required; the role requires obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust and completing onsite fingerprinting.
