Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Deliver end-to-end features spanning data models, service architecture, and React-based user interfaces.
- Make architectural decisions and improve system reliability, security, maintainability, and performance.
- Design integrations between internal applications, production systems, and external services.
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications in a cloud environment.
- Collaborate with product, UX, infrastructure, and game development teams to translate workflows into technical solutions.
- Own larger work areas, break them into deliverables, and contribute to code reviews, documentation, and engineering-practice improvements.
- Gradually support team coordination by organizing day-to-day work, facilitating communication, and tracking priorities and dependencies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience at a senior level.
- Deep expertise in Python and backend development, including FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, or comparable frameworks and libraries.
- Experience designing maintainable APIs, data models, integrations, and service architectures.
- Hands-on experience developing backend services with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience developing frontend applications with React and TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, including systems such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience deploying, operating, or troubleshooting applications in a public cloud environment.
- Understanding of containerization, CI/CD, application monitoring, production support, authentication, authorization, and secure API design.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals in automated testing, code review, debugging, and maintainable design.
- Clear communication, collaboration, ownership, organizational, and interpersonal skills in an international cross-functional environment.
- Interest in gradually developing toward a Coordinator position.
- Preferred experience with Google Cloud Platform, distributed or event-driven systems using Redis or Kafka, infrastructure as code, container orchestration, cloud-native observability, internal tools, or game/media production workflows.
