Base Salary
$100k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers post-sale to define, design, develop, and implement custom software and AI solutions using Appian’s platform.
- Work across the full project lifecycle, from business-process discovery and requirements gathering through production implementation and adoption.
- Launch relational data models in production and develop APIs integrating multiple systems.
- Brainstorm AI use cases and implement RAG, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative-model solutions.
- Collaborate with client technical teams and business users throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Lead small implementation teams and empower customers to become self-sufficient in building process applications.
- Support customer outcomes and digital transformation initiatives for commercial and public sector clients.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required for candidates considered for public sector roles.
- At least 3 years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience.
- B.S. or B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience leading small teams through post-sale software implementation and a passion for mentoring others.
- Ability to define business processes and gather functional and technical system requirements with clients.
- Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases, database design, data modeling, and SQL.
- Knowledge of software testing practices, automated test suites, continuous integration, REST and SOAP APIs, JDBC connections, and web services.
- Familiarity with AWS, artificial intelligence, analytics, machine learning, Google Cloud, Application Integration, Database, Developer Tools, Management & Governance, and Elastic Containers is preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, continuous-learning, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel 20% or less annually.
