Responsibilities
- Translate complex functional requirements and client needs into system requirements and software solutions.
- Design, develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain complex multi-tiered .NET web applications.
- Own application modules and independently develop features using applicable programming languages and technology stacks.
- Design database solutions, create database objects, write high-performance queries, and perform performance tuning.
- Review code, identify optimization opportunities, and improve application performance and reliability.
- Identify production and non-production issues and assist the team with optimal solutions.
- Apply security frameworks, assess vulnerabilities, and support secure coding and vulnerability testing.
- Work with configuration management tools, QA standards, production infrastructure, interfaces, and product dependencies.
- Create basic project plans, use Gantt charts or similar planning tools, and contribute to reporting and MIS activities.
- Collaborate with customers, onshore counterparts, supervisors, business analysts, business teams, and engineering colleagues.
Requirements
- 7 to 9 years of professional work experience.
- Minimum 15 years of formal education with a Graduate or Post Graduate qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Prior experience designing, developing, and maintaining .NET-based web applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with complex, multi-tiered architectures, object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Experience performing technical, financial, and operational feasibility analysis and explaining the merits and drawbacks of platforms and design patterns.
- Experience with C#, MVC 5, ASP.NET, Web API, HTML5, CSS, advanced jQuery, and JavaScript.
- Experience with at least one JavaScript framework such as Angular, React, or Backbone.
- Experience using Bootstrap for dynamic and scalable browser-based user interfaces.
- Experience writing high-performance SQL queries and preferably working with SQL Server 2014/2016 or MySQL.
- Proficiency with cloud concepts and cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure, OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in T-SQL programming and development.
- Experience with Agile teams and approaches such as Scrum, Extreme Programming, Kanban, or refactoring.
- Knowledge of security frameworks, vulnerability assessment, secure coding, SSL, and vulnerability testing.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
