Responsibilities
- Translate partner needs into technical approaches, identify constraints, de-risk integrations, and define success criteria.
- Design end-to-end partner integrations involving APIs, smart contracts, oracles, custody solutions, wallets, access controls, compliance, liquidation tooling, monitoring, and operations.
- Lead architecture workshops covering user journeys, liquidity strategies, and go-to-market plans.
- Create architecture diagrams, specifications, integration playbooks, and partner-facing documentation.
- Coordinate Morpho’s protocol, product, infrastructure, legal, risk, and growth teams to deliver partner solutions to production.
- Improve product, tooling, documentation, reference architectures, and integration processes based on field learnings.
- Stay current on DeFi infrastructure, Ethereum, and regulatory developments and communicate complex technical topics clearly.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience owning complex systems and delivering cross-functionally.
- Significant experience in solutions architecture, integration engineering, technical pre-sales, or comparable work with external partners.
- Deep DeFi experience, including understanding of a major DeFi protocol or lending and borrowing mechanisms.
- Strong ability to design and reason about systems spanning smart contracts, APIs/SDKs, custody or wallet infrastructure, and compliance constraints.
- Working knowledge of Solidity and the ability to read, review, and debug smart contracts and integration flows.
- Proficiency with modern programming languages and AI coding tools.
- Experience designing or implementing production integrations across multiple systems.
- Excellent written communication and ability to create clear specifications, integration guides, and partner documentation.
- High ownership and autonomy in taking ambiguous partner projects from scoping through production.
- Preferred: experience with exchanges, wallets, custody providers, fintechs, institutional asset managers, security reviews, audits, SLAs, or compliance constraints.
- Preferred: familiarity with permissioned DeFi patterns such as allowlists, wrappers/controllers, role separation, and timelocks.
- Preferred: understanding of liquidity provisioning, market makers, incentives, and go-to-market mechanics.
- Preferred: experience creating scalable integration processes, handoffs, templates, playbooks, and documentation.
