Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications and microservices.
- Implement RESTful APIs and web services using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Participate in requirements gathering, architecture discussions, technology evaluations, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Lead and mentor junior and entry-level developers and conduct code reviews.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, and DevOps or Platform Engineering teams.
- Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments, remediation, application monitoring, incident response, and performance troubleshooting.
- Identify system enhancements, analyze code, resolve application issues, and support customer-facing systems.
- Assess risk and comply with applicable laws, policies, and controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of hands-on professional software development experience.
- At least 6 years of deep Java expertise, with Java 17, 21, or 25 experience preferred.
- Proven experience delivering complex, production-grade enterprise applications.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, RESTful APIs, gRPC, and Apache Kafka.
- Experience with MongoDB, S3, AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Gradle, Git, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
- Experience with JUnit 5, Mockito, TestContainers, ELK Stack, Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and adaptability skills.
- Financial-services or regulated-industry experience and Python knowledge are preferred.
