Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
- Build, manage, and optimize Kubernetes and GKE environments for production workloads.
- Own Infrastructure as Code, DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, and developer self-service capabilities.
- Monitor production environments, improve observability, troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, and respond to incidents.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, post-incident improvements, and reliability initiatives.
- Collaborate with software engineering, product engineering, security, and platform teams on deployment strategies and operational efficiency.
- Apply cloud security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools for infrastructure automation, incident investigation, code debugging, scripting, documentation, and operational workflows.
- Review infrastructure changes, evaluate cloud-native technologies, and promote SRE and DevOps practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- Strong Google Cloud Platform experience, including Google Compute Engine, and expert Kubernetes experience; GKE experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools, and Linux systems administration.
- Automation and scripting experience with Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages.
- Prior hands-on software development experience, preferably with Java, and the ability to read and interpret application code.
- Experience with Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK, plus strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/HTTPS.
- Experience supporting highly available production environments, troubleshooting complex issues, and managing incidents.
- Preferred qualifications include Google Cloud Professional certification, CKA or CKAD certification, Argo CD experience, Kafka and MongoDB experience, Redis, RabbitMQ, or NGINX exposure, SRE organization experience, distributed systems and disaster recovery experience, and exposure to voice platforms or large-scale SaaS infrastructure.
- Practical proficiency with AI engineering tools such as Claude, Codex, Gemini, and GitHub Copilot is expected or beneficial.
