Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end quality for assigned features and deliverables from refinement through production validation.
- Define risk-based test strategies, test pyramids, and test-data strategies for multi-tenant SaaS products.
- Build and maintain UI automation with Playwright using Java or TypeScript.
- Develop API automation for functional, integration, contract, negative, authentication, and data-validation scenarios.
- Create reusable automation components, page objects, fixtures, utilities, and end-to-end test suites.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for rapid quality feedback.
- Perform exploratory, functional, integration, regression, database, and non-functional testing.
- Debug UI, API, database, and integration issues using APM data, logs, browser logs, network calls, metrics, and distributed traces.
- Collaborate with developers, operations, product managers, and stakeholders to validate fixes and improve observability.
- Improve automation coverage, execution speed, reliability, defect prevention, and quality-engineering practices.
- Use AI tools to improve testing productivity, coverage, analysis, and product quality, and contribute to AI learning and adoption initiatives.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in software testing and quality engineering.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining test-automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright using Java or TypeScript.
- Strong API automation experience using REST Assured, Playwright, Postman/Newman, or equivalent tools.
- Understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, authentication, JSON, SQL, databases, and integration testing.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience debugging distributed applications using APM, logging, and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic, AppDynamics, Grafana, or equivalent tools.
- Understanding of QA strategy, test pyramids, risk-based testing, and test-data management.
- Experience testing cloud-based or multi-tenant SaaS products.
- Ability to independently own deliverables and drive them to completion, with strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
