
Solution Architect, VP II - State Street Investment Management

Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end solution architectures for assigned domains, initiatives, and products.
- Translate business, functional, and non-functional requirements into solution designs and architecture artifacts.
- Create and maintain solution blueprints, integration diagrams, and design documentation.
- Coordinate with System Architects and delivery teams to align domain designs with enterprise architecture.
- Provide architectural guidance and consultation to POD teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Apply enterprise platforms, reference architectures, integration patterns, and architecture guardrails.
- Promote service-first, API-driven, and event-driven integration approaches.
- Support data, analytics, AI, GenAI, automation, cloud-native, DevOps, and modern SDLC practices.
- Participate in architecture reviews and document design risks, tradeoffs, and required exceptions.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in solution architecture, system architecture, or senior application design roles.
- Experience designing solutions in complex, multi-system environments, preferably across multiple business domains.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Ability to work effectively with Product, Engineering, and Architecture stakeholders in matrixed teams.
- Working knowledge of modern SDLC, DevOps, and Product-Oriented Delivery models.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience in asset management, financial services, or regulated environments.
- Preferred hands-on experience with data platforms, analytics solutions, API management, and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms and architecture standards.
