Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate secure, scalable Java microservices for the myFICO.com platform.
  • Ship production LLM-powered features including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and tool-use patterns with observability, evaluations, and guardrails.
  • Use Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot while reviewing, refactoring, and validating generated code.
  • Lead design discussions and code reviews while improving code quality, test coverage, and architectural clarity.
  • Partner with product management, InfoSec, and platform teams to translate business requirements into compliant technical solutions.
  • Identify and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks through profiling, refactoring, and architectural improvements.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience with core Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Production experience integrating Anthropic, Bedrock, or OpenAI LLM APIs into Java services.
  • Working knowledge of SQL databases including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL, and NoSQL databases including DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
  • Strong application security foundation covering encryption, authentication, authorization, and secure API design.
  • Experience tuning high-throughput, low-latency systems and working with event-driven architectures and asynchronous messaging patterns such as Kafka, SQS, or EventBridge.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated unit, integration, and contract testing.
  • Experience with high-traffic consumer-facing platforms and a strong commitment to secure, clean, well-tested code.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain design tradeoffs to architects, engineers, and product partners.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience; AWS certifications are a plus.
