Responsibilities

  • Perform and coordinate complex application programming and backend development activities.
  • Design application technical infrastructure using databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.
  • Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
  • Develop multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business goals.
  • Lead complex projects involving backend systems, new technologies, and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Lead code-review sessions and collaborate with the ECIS team to keep projects on track.
  • Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and problem solving.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience with Microservices, Java/J2EE, JSON REST APIs, XML SOAP, RDBMS/SQL, Docker, Maven or Gradle, Postman, JUnit, application security scanning tools, cloud technologies, Jenkins, CI/CD, and Git.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a technical discipline.
  • Object-oriented design, structured Software Development Life Cycle, and Agile experience are assets.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical, collaboration, mentoring, application development, and project management capabilities.
