Responsibilities

  • Build, recruit, and scale the Mid-Market Solutions Engineering team.
  • Design and improve operating processes across discovery, pilots, security reviews, production rollout, adoption, and expansion.
  • Own technical win rates, time-to-technical-win, pilot-to-production conversion, and post-sales adoption metrics.
  • Partner with Sales leadership and Account Executives on technical discovery, demos, and proofs of concept.
  • Carry accounts directly while the team ramps and serve as the escalation point for complex evaluations and deployments.
  • Onboard, coach, and develop Solutions Engineers while establishing performance standards and career paths.
  • Communicate customer and prospect insights to Product and Engineering.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years leading Solutions Engineering, Field Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or customer engineering teams in enterprise software across pre-sales and post-sales.
  • Experience building or scaling at least one team from a small starting point and a strong record of hiring technical customer-facing talent.
  • Strong technical foundation and fluency with modern software development workflows, developer tooling, CI/CD, and AI coding tools.
  • Ability to partner with Sales while protecting technical integrity and customer trust.
  • Comfort operating in high-pressure customer-facing environments and resolving stalled evaluations or struggling deployments.
  • Operational discipline in tracking technical win rates and pilot outcomes.
  • Executive presence and clear communication with developers, architects, and CTOs.
  • Experience with agentic coding tools, LLM-based products, developer platform sales, software engineering, technical consulting, or establishing new teams is preferred.

Benefits

  • This is an in-office position five days per week in San Francisco.
  • Travel to customer sites is expected as needed.
