
Software Engineer III - Private Banking Technology SRE Support

Responsibilities
- Promote and implement site reliability principles, practices, and culture across application-aligned product teams.
- Manage and troubleshoot production incidents, participate in blameless post-mortems, and provide occasional early, late, or weekend coverage for APAC businesses.
- Define and operationalize non-functional requirements, availability targets, SLO reviews, error-budget tracking, and observability models.
- Evolve and debug critical application and platform components while understanding system interdependencies and limitations.
- Develop automation solutions and end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for operational processes, including start-of-day checks where applicable.
- Plan and conduct chaos engineering and resiliency testing for private and public cloud applications.
- Collaborate with SRE teams to deliver consistent visualization and application performance monitoring.
- Evaluate AI-enabled technologies and approaches, including MCP, to improve reliability, operations, and engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Formal training and certification in software engineering and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Ability to engineer toil-reduction and automation solutions using common programming languages such as Python and Java.
- Hands-on experience with private and public cloud computing environments, including AWS or private cloud.
- Experience troubleshooting MSSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, MQ, Kafka, or similar technologies.
- Strong knowledge of SRE culture and principles, with experience implementing SRE practices in an application or platform.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, SLOs, alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jules, Jenkins, GitHub, or Terraform.
- Practical experience with chaos engineering and resiliency testing.
- Preferred experience supporting trading platforms and front-to-middle office environments, including exposure to FIX.
- Exposure to Temenos Transact is preferred.
