Responsibilities
- Drive the end-to-end architectural vision, API design, and implementation for native iOS applications and developer-facing iOS SDKs.
- Write modular, well-tested Swift code and create public APIs and XCFrameworks for enterprise integration.
- Conduct code reviews and establish best practices for testing, modularity, security, and code quality.
- Partner with Product, Design, QA, and backend engineering to align mobile features with platform APIs and enterprise scalability requirements.
- Collaborate with enterprise developer partners to understand integration requirements and support SDK adoption.
- Mentor and coach engineers and lead complex technical initiatives across cross-functional teams.
- Optimize build pipelines, continuous integration, testing automation, and release speed.
- Track Apple platform developments, WWDC updates, and iOS trends and adopt valuable new technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience in cloud, SaaS, or enterprise software environments.
- 5+ years of experience building production native iOS applications and public or internal iOS SDKs backed by cloud APIs.
- 3+ years of deep, hands-on Swift experience and working knowledge of Objective-C for legacy interoperability.
- Experience designing maintainable SDK APIs, modular architectures, and library distribution using technologies such as Swift Package Manager and CocoaPods.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading complex technical initiatives across cross-functional teams.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience with XCFramework packaging, semantic versioning, SDK deprecation cycles, modern iOS frameworks, Swift Concurrency, memory management, OAuth, SSO, data encryption at rest, Android development principles, cross-platform SDK design, open-source iOS libraries, technical writing, or community speaking.
