Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, data scientists, analysts, product managers, and other cross-functional partners.
- Design, develop, and scale reliable solutions for marketplace and supplier infrastructure.
- Launch and iterate on A/B experiments to improve customer learning and product outcomes.
- Continuously improve the codebase, systems, and engineering processes.
- Work across backend and full-stack technologies including Java, Spring Boot, PHP, Vue.js, TypeScript, SASS, Node.js, MySQL, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Kafka, OpenSearch, and Kubernetes.
- Mentor team members and participate in hiring.
- Lead the responsible evaluation and adoption of AI technologies while maintaining quality, security, and governance standards.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience with distributed systems or search engines.
- High proficiency in Java.
- Experience designing and deploying large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience building reliable and observable systems.
- Ability to develop fast, reliable, and maintainable code.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage stakeholders effectively.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and English-language skills.
- Customer-centric and data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Experience with A/B testing, hypothesis building, and event-based analytics is preferred.
- Experience with Node.js, Vue.js, or similar component-based frontend frameworks is preferred.
- Prior e-commerce or startup experience is preferred.
