Responsibilities
- Design and deliver reusable, reliable, low-latency Java code powering the exchange.
- Improve code quality, system organization, and automation as the platform scales under load.
- Profile and resolve performance bottlenecks in the order-processing path.
- Improve system stability through unit, integration, and performance automation.
- Collaborate with distributed engineering, product management, and project management teams.
- Own the components on which the exchange depends.
Requirements
- Strong fluency in Java 17 or later with performance-tuning experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing and building high-throughput, low-latency systems.
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI development, LLM integration, prompt engineering, and SDLC automation.
- Understanding of middleware and messaging technologies such as Chronicle Queue, RabbitMQ, Aeron, and Kafka.
- Working knowledge of Spring or Micronaut, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Deep knowledge of testing methodologies, SDLC practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred experience with order matching, orderbook generation, options, futures, the FIX protocol, related workflows, or blockchain technologies.
