Responsibilities
- Design and engineer software with customer and user experience as key objectives.
- Deliver and support data-related infrastructure and architecture for storage and consumption across the bank.
- Design and develop applications for internal and external users, focusing on interface and front-end usability.
- Implement security measures protecting systems, networks, products, and services.
- Automate processes and establish digital environments that produce predictable, high-quality code and data.
- Lead team development, hold teams accountable, remove roadblocks, mentor team members, and improve project delivery capacity.
- Manage stakeholder communications and help implement effective project governance.
- Support middleware and database design, build, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and production operations.
- Work with operations, development, and test engineers to identify and address operational issues across releases and changes.
- Ensure service resilience, sustainability, and recovery time objectives for delivered software solutions.
- Provide technical leadership to a large team of developers and build team capabilities.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Java, cloud technologies, and related products.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker, MongoDB, SQL, microservice design, Kafka, GCP, and React JS.
- Experience designing and implementing DevOps continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Experience with middleware and database design, build, and troubleshooting in development and production environments.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Geneos, and IBM Tivoli Monitoring.
- Experience in agile and DevOps environments using Jenkins, GitHub, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Ability to collaborate with operations, development, and test engineers on performance, alerting, operator intervention, and design-defect issues.
- Expertise or current knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy, consent, data residency, and applicable regulations.
- Experience providing technical leadership to large developer teams and working with senior business stakeholders.
- Experience with AI agents and agentic AI architectures, plus knowledge of vector databases, graph databases, LLMs, and ontology.
- Knowledge of the GRC domain is advantageous, including risk and control assessment systems.
- Knowledge of OpenPages, Archer, MetricStream, and ServiceNow IRM is desirable.
