Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, designers, and front-end engineers to develop useful engineering applications.
- Design end-to-end tools, create prototypes, ship solutions directly to customers, and iterate based on user feedback.
- Build and maintain Python microservices and FastAPI APIs serving large physics models to end users.
- Deploy applications to cloud infrastructure using Helm, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, and Azure.
- Distill complex customer solutions into reusable platform components and drive development of new features.
- Travel to customer sites internationally for an average of 3–4 weeks per quarter.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems across engineering disciplines.
- Solid foundation in software engineering, API design, and deploying applications to production.
- Ability to understand advanced engineering concepts and customer problems across multiple industries.
- Strong ownership, proactive problem-solving, and ability to learn skills quickly for novel problems.
- Customer-focused approach and ability to work directly alongside customers to build solutions.
- Background in mechanical engineering or a similar field is a plus.
