Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement a centralized source of truth for system-level RTOS configurations, including DDR memory maps, UDMA channels, and peripheral assignments.
- Architect and configure MPUs and hardware firewalls to maintain Freedom from Interference between ASIL and QM tasks.
- Lead the setup and evolution of HALs and low-level drivers across projects and platforms.
- Own core SoC integration modules with an emphasis on maintainability and testability.
- Profile and optimize low-level bus traffic and DDR/DMA memory access for real-time control-loop performance.
- Conduct deep-dive code reviews to maintain quality and architectural consistency.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for hardware-software interfaces and resolve technical ambiguity through evidence-based influence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or a PhD.
- Deep experience with embedded C/C++ and advanced language features and design paradigms.
- Expertise in ARM-based SoC architectures, memory-mapped I/O, DMA controllers including UDMA, and DDR bus configurations.
- Direct experience configuring MPUs and hardware-level firewalls for spatial and temporal isolation in multicore environments.
- Experience building or significantly refactoring HALs for multiple hardware targets or RTOS environments.
- Ability to independently root-cause complex system hangs and race conditions involving shared memory and hardware peripherals.
- Ability to identify low-level design risks such as bus contention and MPU misconfiguration and document implementable designs.
- Expert-level use of JTAG, Tracealyzer, and logic analyzers.
- Preferred experience with ISO 26262 safety-critical development and Freedom from Interference requirements for ASIL systems.
- Preferred familiarity with Automotive Ethernet, UDS, or SOME/IP.
- Preferred expertise with Linux-based development, gtests, Python, Bazel, and Docker.
- Ability to represent a team as a domain expert to silicon vendors or partner organizations.
- Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States; employment eligibility verification is required.
