Base Salary

$225k - $255k/yr

Responsibilities

Design real-time distributed trading systems that place orders across global markets and asset classes.
Integrate new assets and markets and clarify resulting requirements.
Own systems through iteration, documentation, testing, and ongoing support.
Build observability and remediation tooling for analyzing trading performance and risk.
Improve trading-system resilience and performance.
Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, root-cause analysis, and postmortems.
Lead projects across multiple engineering teams and collaborate with non-engineering stakeholders.
Mentor engineers and share engineering practices across the team and company.

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or doctorate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of software engineering experience architecting and operationalizing high-performance, scalable, reliable, and resilient distributed systems.
Expertise building cloud-native distributed systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with modern cloud technologies, data observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, and Prometheus, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
Experience designing telemetry standards and building dashboards and actionable alerting.
Comfort working in containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong coding, analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder-influencing skills.
Familiarity with trading domains, including order management systems, market data, and order lifecycle, is preferred.
Ability to leverage AI tools for productivity, workflow improvement, and decision-making is preferred.
Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical direction is preferred.
