Senior Software Engineer - Tax Product Development

Base Salary
$100k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and release scalable web and cloud-based tax software solutions.
- Apply software engineering practices across architecture, development, unit testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, defect remediation, DevOps, and release management.
- Analyze complex business requirements, assess technical feasibility, estimate work, and collaborate with leads, business teams, clients, and functional groups.
- Develop software designs, architecture proposals, strategies, and risk mitigation plans aligned with business objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers and peers on code quality, performance, standards, compliance, and development best practices.
- Escalate critical issues and implement timely resolutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or Accounting.
- At least five years of hands-on experience building web applications using C#, ASP.NET, HTML, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or TypeScript/React.
- At least five years of experience developing, supporting, or troubleshooting software applications and cloud products.
- Five or more years of experience with stored procedures and database schemas using SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos, or other NoSQL systems is preferred.
- At least two years of experience designing and automating CI/CD or DevOps pipelines is preferred.
- At least two years of experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Portal is preferred.
- Experience with PowerShell, Graph API, Azure CLI, application monitoring, App Insights, Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics Administration, Project Operations, SharePoint Framework, Power Apps, and low-code platforms is preferred.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, software architecture, algorithms, data structures, data modeling, design patterns, clean code, code reviews, Agile development, and business process design is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft certifications such as MTA, MCSD, Azure Fundamentals, or Microsoft Azure Developer Associate is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer relationship, leadership, project management, problem-solving, multitasking, and collaboration skills are required.
