Base Salary
$285k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive technical strategy and solution design for retail web and mobile platforms and align it with the broader Customer Experience Technology ecosystem.
- Provide architectural guidance for platforms supporting sales, marketing, representative, and customer support experiences.
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams in solving complex problems and review other engineers’ designs, architectures, and code.
- Influence firm-wide technology strategy and priorities at the senior executive level.
- Lead architecture for client-facing AI capabilities, including conversational assistants, AI-powered search, personalization, and guided digital actions.
- Establish secure and scalable AI patterns, reusable services, evaluation practices, observability, guardrails, and governance.
- Advance engineering productivity through internal AI tools for coding, testing, documentation, release readiness, security remediation, and developer knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with Product Management and User Experience teams on ideation, prototyping, and planning.
- Mentor and train team members, build a team, and cultivate engineering excellence and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 15+ years of software engineering and architecture experience, including significant leadership of large-scale digital platforms.
- Experience designing or governing AI-enabled digital experiences involving generative AI, conversational AI, AI search, personalization, and client service workflows.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI principles, including evaluation, grounding, privacy, observability, auditability, and risk controls for regulated solutions.
- Experience using AI to improve engineering effectiveness through developer copilots, test generation, code quality, support automation, and reusable prompts or skills.
- Experience with large-scale, highly available online systems.
- Proficiency in Angular and/or React.
- Deep understanding of API-powered JavaScript applications and extensive responsive web development experience across browsers.
- Experience with cloud-native architecture, platform modernization, DevSecOps, observability, reliability engineering, and secure software delivery practices.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
