Responsibilities

  • Build and operate high-throughput ingestion, enrichment, scoring, and alerting pipelines.
  • Develop APIs, dashboards, threat-linking infrastructure, and reliable automation for operations and customers.
  • Design and deliver scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems that monitor and help remediate digital threats.
  • Own projects from gathering customer requirements through implementation, monitoring, on-call, and iterative releases.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Customer Success, and Sales to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help foster a high-performing team culture.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building production backend services or full-stack features, or equivalent experience, with a record of shipping end to end from design through implementation, testing, monitoring, and on-call.
  • Strong mastery of at least one backend language: Python, Go, Java, or Node.
  • Comfort with web APIs, asynchronous processing, and service frameworks.
  • Experience architecting scalable and fault-tolerant systems involving sharding, caching, queueing, idempotency, and backpressure.
  • Experience building and operating large batch or streaming data pipelines, using warehouses or OLAP systems for analytics, and designing efficient schemas at scale.
  • Practical experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, message queues, rate limiting, retries, and cost-versus-latency tradeoffs.
  • Strong observability, debugging, and incident response skills, including structured logging, tracing, dashboards, SLOs, alerts, and production issue triage.
  • Product ownership and strong cross-functional communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers, make product decisions, and take complete end-to-end ownership of shipped work.
