Responsibilities
- Define roadmaps and architecture based on technology and business needs.
- Lead projects involving multiple people from idea through execution.
- Develop well-tested, readable, scalable, and maintainable backend code using Python, Go, and AWS.
- Design and support large-scale distributed systems, concurrency-sensitive pricing flows, and experimentation initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, communicate effectively, and obtain stakeholder buy-in.
- Participate in code reviews, incident resolution, technical talks, mentorship, and engineering best-practice advocacy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering industry experience.
- Extensive object-oriented programming experience, ideally with Go or Python.
- Backend software development experience with large-scale distributed systems and concurrency.
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional partners.
