Base Salary
$146k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create simple, clear interfaces with domain experts to connect quantum computing to specialized domains through familiar APIs and visualizations.
- Design API endpoints and intuitive software library interfaces that are easy to maintain and update.
- Collaborate with Applications, Developer Tools, and Field Engineering teams on best practices and internal tools, including rich data APIs and visualization for large datasets.
- Help turn novel quantum approaches into concise, usable applications and tools.
- Mentor junior developers on the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
- At least 5 years of full-stack development experience, preferably with JavaScript, Python, or Golang backends.
- At least 5 years of experience with REST, GraphQL, or gRPC frameworks for robust data delivery.
- Previous work in scientific computing, quantum computing, or technical consulting.
- Experience building or supporting rich user interfaces, particularly with three.js, D3, or WebGL.
- Track record of shipping applications that solve real business problems.
- Familiarity with agentic AI coding tools and techniques, including skills, docstring generation, code review, and AI coding best practices.
- Preferred: 7+ years of full-stack development experience, preferably using Python or Golang for backend development.
- Preferred: 3+ years of frontend experience with Three.js, D3, or WebGL for heavy visualization.
- Preferred: experience in quantum computing, quantum algorithms, or a degree in quantum physics.
- Preferred: scientific computing experience with numpy, pandas, or C/C++.
- Preferred: experience packaging backend APIs and user interfaces into containerized solutions for deployment to cloud services such as AWS or GCP.
